Does this include performing exhaustive background checks on aliases? What's not preventing someone from using a 'fake email' address like 'h0tm4ma at hotmail.com' and spreading all sorts of rumors about your company? Nothing. Even if you performed an IP address check, and if they were smart, their IP address would be irrelevant. Think proxy server, cyber cafes and WiFi (esp. here in the U.S. where *unprotected* WiFi still runs rampant). ;)
